Mission Statement

Our mission is to educate the African American community about the dangers of smoking and vaping. We strive to increase public awareness on the consequences of tobacco use. The project equips and empowers citizens to advocate for local anti-tobacco policies and programs in schools. A crucial part of our mission is to reduce access to tobacco products to  minors in the Tri-County South Region.  We fight to change lives by educating the community about the truth behind flavored tobacco, where it comes from, and regulate policies in our communities.

Our Vision

We understand prohibiting the distribution of mentholated and other flavored commercial tobacco products is necessary for the longevity of life, good health and prosperity of the Black community.  We strive for a nicotine flavor-free Inland Empire, where the tobacco industry no longer has influence over our African American residents, organizations, children and families.

Partnered with Faith Based Initiative

I.E. Smoke Out engages with faith-based organizations in the Tri-County South region. In collaboration with the National African American Tobacco Prevention Network (NAATPN), the Inland Empire Smoke Out Initiative will be hosting a number of tobacco prevention events including but not limited to a no Menthol Sunday held  annually at local churches within the Tri-County South Region.
