Pepi Jackson

Pepi Jackson

President

Pepi Jackson leads the RCBCC as the CEO/President. An award-winning business and social innovation leader, Pepi has been instrumental in increasing RCBCC’s programmatic impact by 80% and introduced new and important measures to demonstrate the holistic impact of the program. Under his tenure, RCBCC has gone from early stage start up to sustainable organization and is now a leader in the African American small business services in the Riverside County area.

Funding has increased by 90% thanks to the growth of existing and cultivating new partnerships and fundraising streams and geographic expansion of operations in Perris and Moreno Valley. Pepi has been recognized across multiple media and news outlets including The Edison Diversity program as a leader in social innovation.

Pepi brings over 20 years of leadership experience across both the for-profit and nonprofit sector. Prior to joining RCBCC, Pepi was a successful financial director in the Auto Industry for 20 years. “I’m honored to lead such a unique, dynamic growing organization” said Pepi. “You don’t have to be a business owner to feel the affect that we are making in our communities. Helping in a holistic manner is the reason why we continue to be successful.

Sylvia Jackson

Executive Director Health Care Iniatives

Sylvia Jackson leads the Covered California Initiative for RCBCC as a Navigator Grantee. She is an Executive Director of the Covered California Initiative for the last five (5) years. Sylvia along with 32 other Certified Enrollment Counselors (CEC) has been successful in enrolling over 9500 new health insurance policy holders.

Prior to joining RCBCC, Sylvia worked for Apple One as an Executive Counselor, where she was responsible for obtaining job orders for Administrative positions. For 5 years, Sylvia was able to fill over 1500 job orders with qualified applicants resulting into 68% growth for Apple One.

Sylvia serves on 6 Boards in the Community. All of the Boards are Medical Related. Sylvia, along with her Community Partners, serve the “under-served.” Most of her duties demands Outreach Events and Workshops to assist those who need assistance for Healthcare, Housing and Job Development.

Sylvia Said, “I enjoy making a difference in other people lives and the rewards are in seeing the improvements in the Individuals lives. When our Communities are Healthier; the Economy is Stronger”.

Earl Dearing

Earl Dearing

Director of Veteran Services

Earl Dearing is a dedicated retired Marine. He severed in Vietnam with distinction. Earl has lived a life of service to his country and to his community.  After more than twenty years Earl returned to civilian life. Earl used his undergraduate business degree from USC to open and build his own successful real estate brokerage firm, Dearing Brokerage. Earl served his community, by hiring and teaching young real estate agents on how to assist individuals and families in purchasing homes and businesses.  Earl once again after many years of service tried his hand at retirement, only to realize he cannot sit still. Earl share with us his motto, “Once a Marine always a Marine.”

Earl agreed to become the Director of Veterans Services for the Riverside County Black Chamber of Commerce. To serve his fellow veterans. Earl is accountable for managing and directing the management of our veterans’ activities services designed to assist young women and men veterans to re-establish themselves into civilian life. Earl is a consummate community servant and an outstanding community leader. He will be a great asset once again to his fellow vets. “Once a Marine always a Marine.”   

Kamie Taylor

Director of Membership and Marketing

Kamie Taylor is an Alumnus of the University of Redlands (U of R), where she received her B.S. in Business and she is a member of the Whitehead Leadership Society at U. of R. Kamie is also an Alumni of AmeriCorps Vista, where she served as a tutor and mentor at the San Bernardino Adult Learning Center, via Youth Action Project. She’s also a licensed insurance agent for the state of California and has been a peer counselor since middle school.

Kamie currently has her own business as a business consultant/resource and her focus is helping small to medium size businesses with implementing processes and ensuring they have the resources necessary for longevity and sustainability. She is currently one of the training consultants and workshop facilitators working with Buchanan & Associates in helping small businesses become business-ready and contract ready.

She is also currently the Director of Membership and Marketing for the Riverside County Black Chamber of Commerce. Prior to that, she worked for T-Mobile and Sprint as a Business Development Manager for 15 years. Her roles with those companies included Retail Management, Account Management, Sales, Dedicated Customer Service, Project Implementation Manager, Marketing, and Cash Management and Audits.

Kamie enjoys helping others succeed in business and in their personal lives. She has had a successful career of over 19 years in “Corporate America” and with the experience and skills she’s acquired over the years, she extends her knowledge to those she encounters. Kamie is married and a mother of two young men.

Vianca Sanchez

Financial Administrative Assistant

Vianca Sanchez has been with the Riverside County Black Chamber of Commerce since 2017, now serving as a Financial Administrative Assistant. RCBCC gave Vianca the opportunity to utilize her BA in Business Administration and Management, where she started as a receptionist and has since moved to the financial department of the chamber.

Vianca is a valuable team player and has naturally gravitated to be an important part of RCBCC’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program which offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, including persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. Vianca also works with another key program of RCBCC which is Building Resilience in African American Families (BRAAF).

One on the reasons that Vianca likes about being a part of the various programs that the RCBCC has to serve it’s community is as how Vianca puts it, “We are doing more then just disseminating information we are helping people to change their lives for the better. I love helping people.”
